Some market research relies on people telling you what they do. The problem is people struggle to say how they use energy because they don’t actually know. They often use it as a bi-product of living their daily lives, not a conscious choice. Opening a door changes how heat flows around your home even if your aim was to leave the room.
Our projects have been solving that problem since 2014. We use sensors to see beyond what people say to what they do, and models to relate their behaviour to energy use.
